WE ARE GRL.
The GRL vision is simple: a new Sheffield-based collective made up of women and non-binary DJs playing what they want, how they want in a safe + loving environment. And we want you to join us in our mission to spread love and have a good old boogie.
At each of our events, self-identifying gals or non-binary pals who want to share half an hour of their favourite tracks (no genre too weird or groove too far out) can get up on the stage and give it a go.
All women on the decks, everyone else on floor.
ABOUT
Our Story
Frustrated by the lack of female representation in the Sheffield club scene and the lack of female-dominated spaces, we want to create a space in which all women, gals, and non-binary pals feel comfortable to express themselves on the decks.

We hope that through our project, we will be able to empower women of all ages to share the music they love in a supportive, loving, and open environment.
GRL. NIGHTS
Hosted every month at Foodhall, we'll be showcasing the best gal + non-binary pal DJs that Sheffield has to offer
WORKSHOPS
We are planning to host fortnightly DJ and production workshops open to all those who identify as women or as non-binary. These sessions will be peer-taught and will function on 'a contribute what you can' basis as we believe that no one should be denied access to new skills
NETWORK
GRL. is first and foremost a collective. We aim to build a collection of strong women who support one another.

We hope to be able to build a bridge for those getting their start into the industry and into the Sheffield music scene
